Our Sponsored Charity 2010

dyslexia actionYou may have already noticed that we recently added a banner to our blog in support of our chosen charity for 2010. Kaplang is very proud to offer its support to the Dyslexia Action charity over the coming year; we have lots of fund raising ideas already taking form and will update our fund raising page regularly.

Why Dyslexia Action?

There are many worthy charities which need the support from individuals and business owners if they are to continue providing their valuable research and much needed development. We have chosen to support Dyslexia Action due to learning an interesting fact about people who suffer with Dyslexia. While attending a recent event we discovered that those people who have dyslexia tend to excel in other ways, and tend to walk more towards a job role which allows them to also be creative, such as Graphic Design.

What Does Dyslexia Action Do?

Dyslexia Action is the UK’s leading provider of services and support for people with dyslexia and literacy difficulties. They specialise in assessment, teaching and training. They also develop and distribute teaching materials and undertake research.

Dyslexia Action has three main roles: assessment, teaching and teacher training. It also produces its own publications and teaching materials and undertakes a continuous research programme.

You can read more about Dyslexia Action by visiting their website.

If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, you can visit our donation page which has been setup through Just Giving; this allows you to donate directly to this charity so that they receive your donation immediately

We will keep you updated with our fundraising progress via our Just Giving page.

Thanks for your support from everyone here at Kaplang
