Good evening everyone. As I have been sat here working for far too many hours, I thought it was time to take a break and have a little fun.

I believe every designer should take some time out by having some relaxing but creative fun, as it can lead to many fantastic ideas and inspiration. As creative professionals we should never try to force creativity, it must come naturally and this is why some of our best ideas can often take the longest amount of time to come forward.

Any way, enough of me rambling on, I have work I need to be getting back to, but during my little break I have written my own designer prayer and would like to share it with you, I hope you like it.

We over worked designers , who are expected to work for little pay

Hallowed be thy instant messenger name

Thy clients will come

Thy briefs will be done

On time our creativeness will flow

Give us this day our mac and Internet connection

And forgive us for not possessing the skill of telepathy to read thy clients mind

As we forgive those clients who insist we use comic sans

And lead us to a smooth completion

But deliver us from long hours and low pay

For thine is my spare bedroom, the mac, and the adobe

For ever and ever

Amen

I hope you can appreciate my little prayer in the humorous way in which I had intended it to have, and I really hope you have been enjoying my little prayer while having a well deserved break.
